4. Nerf Herder
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xK9P-BrfzLE The name Nerf Herder comes from a scene in Stars Wars Episode V in which Princess Leia insults Han Solo by calling him a "stuck-up, half-witted, scruffy-looking nerf herder". I suppose I can stop there, but there is so much more. Formed in 1994, these guys have songs called "Mr. Spock", "Golfshirt", and "New Wave Girl". All pretty self explanatory. To celebrate G4TV's 1000th episode of "Attack of the Show", they wrote a song called "Video Game Girl" which had a video featuring Olivia Munn. Oh yeah, and they created the theme song for some little show called "Buffy the Vampire Slayer".
