3. They Might Be Giants
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZjZex9pdDg My first experience of They Might Be Giants was when my 8th grade social studies teacher played "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)" in class. I had no idea what I was listening to but I knew I had to hear more. What makes TMBG so great is that they are able to combine humor and educational subjects into fun, catchy songs, such as "Palindrome" and "Particle Man". They also use a wide variety of instruments including the accordion and bass clarinet. In the last decade they have put out four children's albums. They released their newest album this year, naming it "Nanobots" due to it being a large collection of short songs. In keeping with the theme of television shows, they wrote and performed the theme to "Malcolm in the Middle".
