1. Glastonbury - Glastonbury
So, it was pretty obvious that Glastonbury was going to come out on top right? Having not appeared last year due to a clash on several things with the 2012 London Olympics, Glastonbury is back and more-or-less better than ever. The main attraction being The Rolling Stones. Already playing host to Beyoncé in 2011 (ultimately one of the hottest acts on the planet right now) and since Download played host to Black Sabbath in 2012, as far as band-reforms go, it was only going to be The Stones or Bon Jovi at Glastonbury. I think they made the right call. Having only started playing shows again as part of their 50th Anniversary tour in November 2012, it was only fit that they perform at a festival - and never having played at Glastonbury before, it should surely be a large performance on epic proportion. Those who regularly attend, much like the ethos of Download, say there is only one festival that entices them. Glastonbury or nothing. As stated by many, once you've been to Glastonbury, other festivals just don't compare. Playing host to many prestigious acts this year including Arctic Monkeys, Elvis Costello, The Vaccines and The Smashing Pumpkins, Glastonbury, much like Hop Farm, always brings out those acts where it may be a 'once in a life time'. Tickets sold out.
