Were Sign No More's completion delayed by three months or so, it would certainly deserve a far higher place on a "defining albums of the 2010s" list. Released instead towards the back end of 2009, Mumford And Sons' debut album is perhaps better considered a signpost towards a new decade than a microcosm of the 2000s.
