6. Make Some Noise
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdgLMslbDuY It is usually common consensus among music fans that when bands that have been around for a long time release new music, it is "never as good as their old stuff". If someone were to say that about the Beastie Boys, then they obviously have never heard this song. You have that funky guitar, goofy references, and a classic music video. It's perfect. Stand out line: "Pass me the scalpel, I'll make an incision/I'll cut off the part of your brain that does the b*tchin" 5. Triple Trouble
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNVoQNNClmU If one word had to describe this song, it would be "fun". And you should expect nothing less when the Sugarhill Gang's "Rapper's Delight" is being sampled. This is one of the cases where the music and lyrics are able to come together and form an exceptional song. It is definitely one of their best songs percussion-wise. It also has a really great music video (Sasquatch! Funny accents! Clueless Kanye West!). Stand out line: "You see I walk like Jabba the Hutt/With the style so new y'all be like what?" 4. Gratitude
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZdJ5e70Q8mw "Gratitude" is badass. Everything about it, from the Pink Floyd inspired video, to the instrumentation, to Ad-Rock's yelling, is totally and completely badass. While it is MCA's fuzz bass riff that makes the song, it wouldn't be nearly as awesome without Money Mark's killer organ solo at the end of the track. This is without a doubt my favorite (live instrument) Beastie Boys song.
