50 Definitive Beastie Boys Songs

8. So What'cha Want

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ru3gH27Fn6E This is the single that brought the Beastie Boys back into the mainstream in the 90's. After the commercial failure of Paul's Boutique, the Beasties needed a hit and got it. Probably known best for its minimalist music video, "So What'cha Want" has the all of the Beastie staples: a garage band beat, killer guitar lead, and of course, keys by Money Mark. And what would be a Beastie Boys song without a little Biz Markie? Stand out line: "But if you're hot to trot, you think you're slicker than grease/I've got news for you crews, you'll be sucking like a leach"

7. The Negotiation Limerick File

http://youtu.be/v1W8es-VHQs?t=6m40s As you can probably tell by now, the Beastie Boys are not your average rappers, punks, jam band, or whatever you want to call them. So it should come as no surprise that they would decide to make a song using only five-line limericks. For those of you that might be unfamiliar with limericks, they are five-line poems in the rhyme scheme of AABBA. Genius. Stand out lines:
At the risk of sounding crass, I would like to mention That I'm well aware of your wack intentions To usurp my prose You so-and-so It's my primary bone of contention"
