6 Best Driving Tunes

1. The Rolling Stones - €œSatisfaction€

Supposedly the unmistakeable riff came to Keith Richards in a dream one night in May 1965. Richards woke up, grabbed his guitar and a cassette machine, and began creating this modern day piece of perfection. Undoubtedly inspired by the divine spirits (Whiskey and rum as opposed to divine intervention), Richards played the run of notes once and then fell back into a rather deep slumber. He later admitted that on the tape €œyou can hear me drop the pick, and the rest is snoring." The riff that opens and characterizes "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" €” transformed the overall sound of early rock & roll. Perhaps it is the soundtrack to a generation eager to inherit the world that makes you want to drive and drive until you can no longer get satisfaction.
