6 Early Versions Of Iconic Songs Missing The Iconic Parts

3. "Under Pressure"

Before it was used in every movie trailer, Queen and David Bowie’s “Under Pressure” was a No. 1 song. It is a powerful song with a baseline that sounds only vaguely familiar to a Vanilla Ice song. However, the song started as a sappy love song written by drummer Roger Taylor titled "Feel Like".

There is a lot of debate as to how "Feel Like" became "Under Pressure". Most of the debate is between members of Queen and David Bowie. Queen bassist John Deacon claims it was David Bowie who came up with the iconic three-note bassline. However, Bowie insists the bassline and the new lyrics were already written by the time he joined the fold.

It is nice to hear musicians not arguing over who should get songwriting credits and who is owed the most money. Instead, Bowie and Queen heap praise on each other for helping to create an iconic song dedicated to peace and love.
