7 Famous Album Covers That Were Censored For Ridiculous Reasons

3. Three Dog Night - Hard Labor

Reason For Censorship: Vinyl Birth. Even bands who build their careers on being a straight-forward, working-class rock group like to get a little weird sometimes. Three Dog Night proved that with the cover for Hard Labor, which featured a group of deranged doctors gathered around a mannequin dinosaur lady giving birth to a bloody vinyl record. Apparently, that image didn't sit well with some people. When the record company realized how many nightmares and children's tears they would be producing, they decided to fix the "offensive" part, which they estimated was the vinyl record. Not the creepy doctors, not the half-dinosaur/half-human woman with her reptilian feet in stirrups, just the vinyl 45. For future pressings, they superimposed a large bandage over the problem and called it a day.
