2. One Direction Fan Pretends To Strangle Her Dog
They really do start young. Last year, Twitter user @illumivato sent her favourite boy band a number of tweets, growing increasingly threatening in nature. The sequence of weirdness culminated exactly the way you thought it wouldn't (or would, depending on how cynical you are) murder. Basically, the young girl threatened to kill her dog with her bare hands if One Direction didn't follow her or reply via Twitter. The following day, things got even more out of control. The teen posted a picture with her dog in her hands (you can see it above), caption reading "I LOVE YOU PLEASE FOLLOW MY MY DOG JUST DIED." Investigations revealed that, thankfully, no dog was actually harmed in the making of this melodramatic plea. Young @illumivato's claim was a hoax, but that doesn't detract from the horrific nature of her obsession. @illumivato didn't limit herself to alleged dog torture to get a response from her idols, instead threatening all manner of creatures while hounding (sorry, wrong pun) the British teen-baiting boppers. Click
this to see the depths of her potentially murdersome insanity. I warn you though, it's a bit disturbing and features animals stuffed in (thankfully unused and de-bladed) blenders. Mothers, children (and racism), kittens, you name it everything got threatened for the sake of a follow from a member of the band. While the girl never actually harmed the animals or humans in the photos, it's disturbing that a young girl could depict such graphic violence, all for the sake of some meaningless social media interaction from her favourite boy band.
