Should Limp Bizkit ever have been allowed to have a music career to come back to? The answer to that is certainly debatable, though it's much harder to argue that Fred Durst and his crew of fellow hooligans shouldn't have just let sleeping does lie once the frenzy surrounding "Nookie" died down. They've tried to recapture some of that original, um, magic (?) over the last decade or so, but have never been able to elbow their way back onto the mainstream radar. Not even close, actually. He was booed and heckled off stage in a 2003 supporting Metallica. The Unquestionable Truth Part 1 in 2005, but it was so poorly received that they didn't bother with the intentioned sequel. Their 2011 album, Gold Cobra, was actually not terribly received by critics, but their record label apparently felt differently and dropped them like a piece of flaming meatloaf that should have never been picked up with your bare hands in the first place. They're now a part of Lil Wayn'e record label, Cash Money Records, which is currently embroiled in a hot mess of lawsuits and infighting. So that should work out well.
