8 Awful Bands You Won't Believe Are Still Going

7. The Venga Boys

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=llyiQ4I-mcQ On a list of All Time Crimes Against Humanity, the Venga Boys and their hit single We Like To Party may be high in the charts. You may only hear the first five seconds of it by chance but the song will be stuck in your head for the rest of the day in a perpetual loop. It's a brand of torture you do not wish upon your worst enemies. It would be easy to assume that the band called it quits when 2000's The Platinum Album failed to achieve its namesake but the band proved to be as resilient as a cockroach. After a tragically too brief hiatus, the band was touring again in 2006, assaulting audiences with their brand of musical abuse. A "comeback" single in 2010, featuring Dead Or Alive front man Pete Burns, was released in the Netherlands titled Rocket To Uranus. The song title, defying all hope, was not announcing the band's next destination, far away from the fragile ears of planet Earth. Unfortunately, it signaled a new era for the band as they continue with 2014 plans to tour Europe and release new material.
