8 Awful Bands You Won't Believe Are Still Going

4. Drowning Pool

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XI5GJLvYlz8 In an era of terrible nu-metal bands Drowning Pool should have come and gone in the blink of an eye, and for most people they did. However their hit song "Bodies" would go on to act as background music for explosive action movie trailers, an anthem for several misguided actions, and used as musical torture in the interrogations of prisoners by the U.S. Military. This I understand completely and would've cracked in seconds. One would think that the death of lead singer Dave Williams in 2002 would be the end of Drowning Pool in the collective public conscious, but any of the dozen die-hard Drowning Pool fans would tell you otherwise. The band would persevere. And persevere they have, along with a revolving door of three unmemorable lead singers since 2002. Still, they continue to tour and record, including last year's ironically titled Resilience. Unfortunately things still aren't the same possibly because movie studios want their films to make money rather than use Drowning Pool to promote them.

Just like Patrick Swayze in Roadhouse, Mickey Galie is the best friend a good time ever had.
