2. Lou Bega
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MXeYU1gDMxM Lou Bega is nothing if not full of surprises. One of the bigger surprises is that his debut album, A Little Bit Of Mambo, was not in fact just Mambo No.5 track after track. The other big surprise is that, contrary to popular belief, Lou's career did not simply end when Mambo No.5's popularity did. Granted, one can argue that it should've. Lou Bega most likely didn't agree and spent the 2000's trying to recapture the magic. Lou Bega released three follow up albums to his debut that came with a whimper and nary a bang. On the flip side, Bega was a playable character in the 2001 game Tropico where you can step into his shoes as the dictator of an island. Because someone thought this was a great idea. In what could only be an attempt to distance himself as a 90's one hit wonder, Lou decided to release an album entirely comprised of 80's covers called A Little Bit Of 80's. What is the hit song and video from this 2013 album? A rendition of KC & The Sunshine Band's Give It Up. If the song had a proper PR machine behind it, it may have stood a chance of replacing Mambo No.5 as that awful Lou Bega song played at the worst wedding you ever attended.
