8 Biggest 2016 Music Rumours That Need To Come True

1. The Foo Fighters Are Releasing A Second Season Of Sonic Highways

The premise of Sonic Highways is simple, but brilliant. Over the course of eight episodes, musician Dave Grohl travelled to a different American city, exploring its musical history through a series of interviews. As well as that, the Foo Fighters' incorporated what they learned into the writing and recording of a new song in or around the episode's particular city, not only presenting fans with new Foos music, but giving each episode a unique, dynamic quality. For a long time, then, rumours were circulating that there'd be a second season of Sonic Highways. In mid-2015, Foo Fighters guitarist Christ Shiflett posted a photo of a plane which read €œSonic Highways€, fuelling speculation that the band were in the middle of shooting a second season. Not long after, Dave Grohl mentioned the possibility of a second season in an interview. It seems likely, then, considering the picture shared and Grohl's mention of the possibility, that a second season is indeed in the works. Not only that, but many have speculated that the second season will be much larger in scale, as Grohl originally wanted to take the show to eight different countries, not eight cities in America. Sonic Highways: International Edition confirmed?
