3. Macabre - Sinister Slaughter (Various)
Who wants to buy Gacy's lot where he quick-limed the boys and left them to rot?/Nobody wants Gacy's lot where he planted the boys in their lime filled pots/Who wants to buy Gacy's lot where he strangled the boys with a tourniquet knot?/Somebody bought Gacy's lot and built on the spot where John left them to rot
One band that basically HAD to be on this list is the Chicago death metal group Macabre, who have basically dedicated their career to writing full albums about serial killers. Any of their records could have been selected, but Sinister Slaughter is the best example because it covers so many famous murderers and features possibly the darkest cover art of any album ever. It's a parody of The Beatles' famous Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band artwork, replacing the original's countercultural icons with photographs of many of history's most prolific killers. The album itself basically features death metal tributes to everyone from John Wayne Gacy, Jr. ("dead boys in their plots left to rot on Gacy's lot"), Albert Fish ("he killed and ate young children and enjoyed it immensely") and Jeffrey Dahmer ("cut them up and eat certain pieces of the men"). They're all coated with lashings of pitch black humour, and certainly don't leave much to the imagination. The band's commitment to covering pretty much every serial killer in their discography is impressive, though admittedly the sheer quantity of tracks does mean that their lyrics are occasionally pretty simplistic compared with some of the more intricate portrayals elsewhere on the list. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QgVt0ZajaE
