8 Demo Versions Of Famous Songs You'll Barely Recognise

5. Queen €“ Under Pressure

Originally titled Feel Like, Under Pressure was a vastly different song until David Bowie collaborated with the band in order to rejuvenate it. That they collaborated at all is something of a massive coincidence. Bowie was initially in the studio in order to record backing vocals for a completely different song titled Cool Cat, but Bowie wasn't happy with how he sounded and so they ended up working on Feel Like.

Though it featured a similar guitar intro, Feel Like never really manages to take off, lacking the distinct choral hook that makes Under Pressure such a powerful song. Much has been said over the years about who deserves credit for what, but it's generally acknowledged that Bowie was at least responsible for the song's lyrics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2g5cdDlbXs
