8 Famous Songs That Have The Absolute Dumbest Sequels
6. Buddy Holly - "Peggy Sue"
What ever happened to Peggy Sue from the hit Buddy Holly song "Peggy Sue?" That's a question that was...on someone's mind? At some point? Maybe?
Buddy Holly has the honor of being one of the first deceased rock n' rollers to have a song posthumously released. That song, "Peggy Sue Got Married" was an inessential follow-up to one of his biggest hits, released a couple years after the original.
This one isn't really Holly's fault. The guy was dead, after all. For all we know, Holly never intended to release this as an actual song, but just liked to keep a recorded journal of Peggy's life achievements.
There could be an entire vault filled with demos like "Peggy Sue Visited Paraguay" and "Peggy Sue Renewed Her Driver's License."
