8 Famous Songs That Have The Absolute Dumbest Sequels
4. Chuck Berry - "Johnny B. Goode"
Johnny B. Goode may very well be the most iconic rock song in the history of guitars. Chuck Berry certainly never made another song as amazing as this, though he's certainly tried. In fact, he tried to turn the character of Johnny into a big-time cash cow, figuring that there was just something about the guy that made everyone want to go out and buy Chuck's records.
Berry actually wrote at least a dozen other songs featuring the character, each a small chapter in the epic tale of Mr. B. Goode. Go Go Go launches Johnny as a worldwide phenomenon who could drive all the girlies crazy with his "duck walkin' ways."
"Bye Bye Johnny" is technically the last of the sequels, a fond farewell to the guitar-slinger who boards a bus to Hollywood in hopes of becoming a world-famous actor. Hopefully it worked out for Johnny, because none of these sequels worked out very well for Berry.
