8 Incredible 1990s Bands That Are Still Killing It
7. Korn
Korn’s Jonathan Davis taught metalheads a lot about being in touch with their emotions, and throughout the 1990s produced lyrics that allowed the hurt boy to feel his power.
Although the quality of their album releases has wavered since then, Korn are on the form of their lives right now. 2019's The Nothing is unquestionably Korn and from the bagpipes to the heart-breaking lyricism, the band show every terrible nu-metal imitator that the genre can continue to develop into something great. The record features neck breaking aggro metal and mega riffs but is centred around Davis’ loss of his wife and the pain that’s defining his life right now. It’s often a hard listen but it’s so rewarding experiencing Korn’s return to form.
