8 Incredible 1990s Bands That Are Still Killing It

8. Faith No More

Faith No More didn’t have to go so hard on their return. Their contemporaries - the likes of System of a Down and Rage Against the Machine - returned from a long hiatus by continuing to peddle their classic material, too scared or uninspired to release new music. But Faith No More returned like it was 1999 all over again.

The band released the highly anticipated Sol Invictus in 2015 knowing the pressures of adding to an almost perfect back catalogue of material. The 18 year break that the funk rock hybrid masters took between album releases served to only make the record more impressive. Time may be a daunting thing to face when returning from hiatus, but when you have the swagger of Faith No More, it’s like you never left.
