8 Incredible 1990s Bands That Are Still Killing It
6. Nine Inch Nails
Like many of the bands on this list, Nine Inch Nails haven’t just released one critical masterpiece but multiple. Every time the kings of industrial rock put their name to an album, they do so knowing that it will live alongside classics such as The Downward Spiral and The Fragile, but this doesn’t phase or stifle them.
With the release of Bad Witch in 2018, the band proved that they’re just as sharp and nihilistic as ever. Nine Inch Nails are continuing to push the expectations of themselves and other bands, releasing the record as a three part trilogy with EPs Not The Actual Events (2016) and Add Violence (2017). Being at a level where they can mess with the formula allows Nine Inch Nails the freedom to experiment and make the music that comes naturally to them. The result is their best album in well over a decade.
