The expectations for their most recent release, Fear Inoculum, were impossible to achieve, with time and nostalgia elevating the band’s previous output to unattainable quality. However, Tool still released an album better than 99.9% of rock bands could ever hope to achieve and during their return to the UK last year proved that their live show is still flawless.

The truth is that Tool might be the best band of all time, and the best band of all time never lose an inch of quality.
