4. Nicki Minaj Predicted Her Own Cousin's Death
At this point, it's pretty much impossible not to know who Nicki Minaj is, even if you've been actively trying not to. Brightly-coloured hair aside, she's had an insane amount of success in recent years with songs like Superbass and Starships, and that's not to mention all of the collaborations and Grammy nominations (she's received ten in total). Tragically, Minaj's cousin Nicholas Telemaque was murdered near his home in New York City in July 2011. Not long after, a track by Minaj titled We Miss You appeared online, and seemed to be addressing this very incident. Yet it was soon revealed that the song was recorded almost an entire year previously, throwing the song's lyrics into a new, eerier light. On the song, Minaj begins by lamenting Why'd you have to leave in July?. She then goes on to say Why would they take you from me? Why the doctors could not stop the bleeding? Even stranger, the song features the lyric I could've told you all about my intuition, I could've even brought the extra ammunition which seems to predict Minaj's own prediction.
