8 Musicians Who Publicly Made Idiots Of Themselves

1. Dappy

Dappy Never Mind The Buzzcocks Whatever you may think of N-Dubz as a group, Dappy has proved time and again to be a total arse, with several incidents of threatening behaviour and a conviction for violent conduct. His image is marred by poor publicity from incidents like these and in 2010 this was combined with sheer stupidity after an appearance by N-Dubz on Chris Moyles€™ radio show. A woman from Lincolnshire sent in a text that wasn€™t read out calling N-Dubz €œlosers€, and Dappy €œvile€ and €œa little boy with a silly hat€. In all fairness, it was a personal attack and nobody would want to be called that but part of being famous is taking criticism on the chin or responding to it responsibly. Instead, Dappy secretly got hold of her phone number from the studio and sent her this text:
Your gonna die. U sent a very bad msg towards Ndubz on The Chris Moyels show yesterday Morning and for that reason u will never be left alone!!! u say sorry I will leave u alone u ****
Followed by this one some time later:
u dum f****** ***head u can call me names over the radio but when I call u direct u chicken out u punk!nana f****** niii, Dappy
I€™ll give you a moment to recover from that massacre of the English language. Dappy€™s management apologised on his behalf and tried to buy the woman off with N-Dubz tickets but Dappy himself has never apologised personally. And the beautiful irony of this whole thing is that not only did it expose Dappy€™s violent tendencies again, but it happened at a time when N-Dubz were fronting a government anti-cyber bullying campaign. Needless to say that N-Dubz were immediately dropped from the campaign because, after the text incident, letting Dappy campaign against cyber-bullying would be like recruiting Harold Shipman to be the face of the NHS.
