8 Reasons Avicii's 'True' Album Deserves Every Bit Of The Hype

1. 'Canyons' - Going Global

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zoahnbw-Umc Global appeal is a success that most artists just dream of €“ however, Avicii is now officially one of Sweden's biggest exports, with his album making waves in the charts all over the world. Since 'Wake Me Up' was first premièred on Pete Tong's BBC Radio 1 show, Avicii is currently a staple in the UK charts, with that song charting on 20 national singles charts and peaking at number one in 10 countries. Following on from that success, 'You Make Me' sky-rocketed to number 1 in Sweden and in the top five in the UK. 'Hey Brother' and 'Addicted To You' have also followed suit, with the latter impacting Australian radio currently. Avicii's global success can only be compounded by the 'True Tour' - his first concert tour. He's globetrotting all the way from Australia, to Europe, Mexico and the US, before heading back to Germany for the final leg of the tour. That's a pretty impressive start for someone who's only just released his debut studio album. While it helps that he was famous before he was really, REALLY famous, Avicii's success is down to a cracking first album in 'True', and yes, it thoroughly does deserve the hype. What do you think? Did you love the album? Did you think the hype was overblown? Let us know below!
