9 Albums That Are Begging To Be Made Into A Movie

4. David Bowie €“ The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars

The world loves a good science-fiction story€ couple that with society's seemingly infinite curiosity for the idea of extraterrestrial life and The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars would make a ton of sense as a film. Not only is the record regarded as one of the greatest concept albums of all time, it's just a brilliant piece of art in general, full of memorable songs alongside a strong, compelling narrative. The record deals with the story of Ziggy Stardust, the human manifestation of an alien creature who attempts to give humanity hope despite its impending doom. Earth is five years from ceasing to be habitable due to the extreme limitation of natural resources, and so Ziggy attempts to inspire and guide society during its death throes, leading them towards a higher truth. Narratively, the album is vague enough that it could easily be built upon and adapted to work on the big screen, with various dramatic set pieces being added and changed as appropriate. What if we followed a protagonist who believed in the reality of the hope Ziggy was offering, and who attempted to save the world? The possibilities are quite endless...
