Lostprophets were a Welsh rock band that formed in 1997. Over the course of their career they rose to prominence and popularity with hit singles like Last Train Home and Rooftops, selling millions of albums worldwide and receiving various accolades.

Unfortunately for even the most die hard fans of the band, there really is no way to enjoy the group's music any more. At the close of 2012 the band's lead singer Ian Watkins was charged with multiple sexual offences against children, forcing the rest of the group to cancel all tour dates and to ultimately disband. Not only did Watkins plead guilty to many of the charges, he was sentenced to twenty-nine years in prison.

Albums like Thefakesoundofprogress and Start Something were extremely popular in the early 2000s, spawning what were then regarded as classic rock songs that were simultaneously aggressive yet accessible. Watkins' conviction, however, has soured the band's music entirely €“ the fact that he performed lead vocalist makes it impossible not to associate his voice with the despicable nature of his crimes.
