9 Famous Albums The World Will Never Hear

1. Ryan Adams €“ The Suicide Handbook

When it comes to singer-songwriters, few are more prolific than Ryan Adams, who has released a total of thirteen studio albums as a solo musician as well as multiple EPs and several records with former band Whiskeytown. Aside from critical and commercial success across the board, Adams has collaborated with artists like Counting Crows, Weezer and Norah Jones and has published two books of poetry.

It's unsurprising, them, that someone so productive might have a bunch of unreleased material lying around, but that doesn't stop fans desperately wanting to hear it. Adams is believed to have multiple albums worth of songs that haven't been put out, but none is more notable and more sought after than The Suicide Handbook.

The Suicide Handbook was to be the follow-up to 2000's Heartbreak, a huge collection of acoustic songs that was deemed €œtoo sad€ by Adams' label for commercial release and was blocked from release. This, of course, has created huge hype and anticipation amongst the musician's fans to hear the material, slowly building the lost record's legendary status.

On top of that, Adams himself described the material years later as €œsome really heavy stuff€, €œamazing€ and €œif anything, it's my most majestic piece ever€. So why can't fans hear it?!
