4. Skrillex €“ Untitled Album

It's bad enough when musicians make an album and decide to shelve it or give up half-way through...it's even worse when a musician who wants to release an album is literally unable to. But that's exactly what happened to electronic musician and DJ Skrillex in 2011.

Skrillex had completely finished a new album when his hotel room in Milan, Italy was robbed, the culprit or culprits making away with two laptops and two hard drives worth of material. Included on those hard drives was everything that the musician had been working on as well as his upcoming record.

Presumably, the only back-ups for the album existed on the two hard drives, meaning there was no way to retrieve any of the music. Unfortunately for fans of the prolific DJ, Skrillex didn't release his first full-length studi album until 2014 €“ three years after the incident €“ meaning he likely reworked and rewrote the vast majority of material. Who knows would could have been?
