When it comes to hip hop collaborations, few are more speculated upon than The Commission, a record that was set to band together several of the genre's titans, specifically The Notorious B.I.G., Jay Z and Charli Baltimore.
The release of tracks like I Love The Dough and Brooklyn's Finest got fans seriously hyped for the record. The blend of styles was enthusiastically received and teased at what amazing potential an entire album might hold.
Sadly, however, during the lead up to serious talks of prolonged studio recording The Notorious B.I.G. was murdered, rendering the material prepared entirely redundant and casting one of the biggest what ifs in hip hop history. At present it seems totally unlikely that whatever preliminary material was recorded will ever see release.
