9. Black Hole Sun - Soundgarden (1994)
A video that follows an idealistic, vibrant American suburb, whose inhabitants are depicted to be ultimately swallowed by a black hole, doesn't shy away from anything close to being both surreal and apocalyptic. The band's contagious 1994 hit video, remembered for it's drowning and bleak lyrics leaves the viewer mesmerised, yet offers them something memorable and particularly unnerving. A true horror spectacle with such surreal imagery that deteriorates throughout, the visual spectacular of the inhabitants succumbing to the effect of the black hole, leading their faces to slowly transform into warped, over-smiley monsters, is fearful.
