Despite worldwide popularity and commercial success, the vast majority of music fans haven't heard much from The Marshall Mathers LP bar hit singles like The Way I Am, The Real Slim Shady and Stan. But with a little bit of exploration it's possible to find what is widely considered the controversial rapper's most genuinely messed up song, and also one of his best.

Even though he's known for his brutal, uncensored lyrics, Kim is undoubtedly the most raw example of this, one of the first songs during which Eminem deals with all the pain and rage he's experiencing due to his dysfunctional relationship with his wife.

If you think you've heard Eminem at his most psychotic but haven't heard Kim, think again. The lyrics detail a fantasy in which the musician kidnaps his wife, drives her out to the woods (while revealing that he's slit the throat of their infant daughter) and then murders her as she begs for mercy. This may sound fairly rote, but it's Eminem's totally unhinged delivery that catapults the song from empty rhetoric to something inherently disturbing.
