6. Kreator Extreme Aggression 1989
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLPcEzisQ0M In the mid 1980s, there was a very important chapter of the Thrash Metal story that began in Germany. Most notably three bands Destruction, Sodom and from the industrial city Essen, Kreator. These bands are credited as being a huge influence on the Death, and Black Metal genres, because they had even more venom and aggression than their American counterparts, especially vocally. Kreator are the most influential of this movement and this, their fourth full length, is a stone cold classic, and you would be hard pushed to find a thrasher, that would argue with that statement. Kreator always had a toe dipped in melody with some of their lead and harmony guitar work. Frontman, and leader, Mille Petrozzas vocal style has to be heard to be believed! Think of a VERY pissed off, shrieking witch and youre in the right area.
