5. Arise Sepultura 1991
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JiixQgrNZp0 Brazils Sepultura made sure that Latin America, a fertile breeding ground for extreme Metal, had a contribution to the Thrash brigade. Third album Beneath the Remains was a solid record but here, on their fourth, the band really hit their stride. This is the perfect collection of songs to show how to perfectly walk the line between Thrash, and Death Metal. The title track, Desperate Cry and Under Siege are particular highlights, but there isnt a weak moment to be found across these nine tracks. Max Cavaleras brutal vocal style made even more unique by his broad Brazilian accent is unrelenting. Brother, Igor, is one of Metals most renowned drummers and lead guitarist, Andreas Kisser, shows his one of a kind approach to lead playing.
