New Alter Bridge Album: 8 Incredible Things To Look Forward To

7. Tremonti's Second Album Expanded His Capabilities In A Big Way

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49mj_gghI4M Since Mark's first album (itself an instant masterpiece, call the Fanboy Police!), he's essentially been on tour constantly - save for stopping again to record Alter Bridge's Fortress from 2013, or Cauterize. What that's meant is a relentless trial by fire when it comes to getting accustomed to a new band on the road, and all the learning experience that comes with it. His vocals were always incredibly warm, powerful and relatable (a rare quality that really makes him stand out), meaning no matter if he's bellowing out huge choruses or snarling through various verse passages, there's a character and personality that fans just can't get enough of. Listen to his vocals on the above track Providence, they're such a marked step up from everything he's done before, and that can only mean more opportunities to harmonise with Myles, or trade off verse passages like on AB III's Words Darker Than Their Wings. Hell, considering how stupidly good Waters Rising was, there's every potential for more Mark-led solo tracks, reversing expectations and adding another string to the band's bow in the process.
