You really need the full single or album version of this to get its full effect, as otherwise you're missing out on an extended intro solo that sets up the entire album.

Anyone with even a passing interest in AB knows about latest single Show Me a Leader, and it's still one of the best songs on the record.

A driving rhythm, poignant lyrics and Myles seemingly casting his hand over all in attendance to listen up, the cries to "Show me a leader that won't compromise, show me a leader so hope can survive, we need a hero this time" couldn't be more timely if it blared out of every political party's broadcast speakers.

Listen out for: Mark's legato run at 3:50. In the past a lot of his signature technique came directly from legato patterns, where The Last Hero sees him making a conscious effort not to rely on it too much. Show Me A Leader is one of only a few times on the record you can still hear his more signature licks coming through.
