Alter Bridge - Walk The Sky: Every Song Ranked From Worst To Best

Let's state the obvious right now... it's another masterpiece from Alter Bridge.

Alter Bridge are a special band. Myles Kennedy, Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall, and Scott Phillips are four incredibly talented musicians that have earned themselves a reputation as one of the strongest bands working in the genre today, and have only grown since their debut in 2004.

Fifteen years later, the boys have put out six stellar albums, including 2019's effort, Walk The Sky. Anticipation for the sixth album was through the roof, particularly after the stunning Wouldn't You Rather was dropped as the first single.

Coming off the back of The Last Hero, the band were somewhat victims of their own success as many fans felt the 2016 album fell slightly below the incredibly high expectation they set with their previous work. So with the follow up, Alter Bridge refused to rest on their laurels, putting in the work between touring and writing with other projects to make Walk The Sky the best it could possibly be.

Needless to say, this was a huge success, as the material they have produced and released is up there with their greatest work. Every man puts in a powerhouse performance on Walk The Sky, and there really isn't a bad song to speak of.

14. One Life

As enjoyable as the Walk the Sky's opening track is, it simply can't be compared to the rest of the album. Clocking in at just 1:21, One Life serves as an intro to Alter Bridge's sixth outing rather than being a true song in its own right.

As well as introducing the album in general, the softer, stripped back approach of One Life allows the beginning of Wouldn't You Rather to feel even heavier by comparison when it kicks in. This almost feels similar to the intro of Slip to the Void or Show Me A Leader, only listed as a separate track.
