Alter Bridge - Walk The Sky: Every Song Ranked From Worst To Best

6. Dying Light

After the clerical error during post-production that led to The Last Hero closing with Last Of Our Kind rather than the titular track, Walk The Sky closes out with an absolute bang. Dying Light is heavily influenced by the synth wave collaborating with the heavy hitting rock the band have been putting out for 15 years.

The closing track tells the story about death, the idea of waking up in the afterlife and what that might look like. There is no shortage of deep meaning in the songs of Walk The Sky, or any Alter Bridge album before it, and Dying Light is no different.

In the build up to the guitar solo toward the end of the song, the band once again utilise the synth and some gnarly guitar effects to create the most phycedelic passage they have attempted, that really paints a picture of spiralling to the realm of madness.
