Bee Gees Singer Robin Gibb Has Died, Aged 62

Robin was one of three Gibb brothers who formed the Bee Gees in 1958.

Following a long struggle with cancer Robin Gibb has passed away, aged 62. Robin was one of three Gibb brothers who formed the Bee Gees in 1958. Robin, Maurice and Barry released 22 studio albums throughout their career and won numerous Grammy awards. Their soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever won 5 Grammys alone and their soundtrack to Staying Alive was awards lauded and has now become iconic with that era of music. The group wrote and produced all of their own music as well as hits for other artists. Born in the Isle of Man before moving to Manchester and then Australia, The Bee Gees had two distinct periods of success; early on in the career as a pop act and from the mid seventies onwards as a preeminent Disco act.
