Black Sabbath: Ranking Every Ozzy Osbourne Album From Worst To Best
7. 13
Harking back to their early golden run of records at the dawn of their career with a simple, blunt effectiveness, the group's final studio album - and first with Osbourne for thirty-plus years - wasn't a full-blown reunion after drummer Ward was left out due to alleged contract disputes.
But, produced by Rick Rubin, it produced an old-school hit of the Sabbath sound with absolutely no frills. As offerings went, it was far from their most adventurous, but cuts like End of the Beginning and God is Dead? proved that they never truly lost their mastery of doom metal.
Plans to immediately tour ahead of the record following their reunion hit a further snag when Iommi was diagnosed with cancer in early 2012 - but in his absence, Osbourne rose to the challenge, assembling an all-star Ozzy and Friends touring lineup to cover the dates in his absence.
13 was met with acclaim by and large upon its release the following year and the band successfully embarked on a full supporting tour - while, in 2014, God Is Dead? won the band a Grammy for Best Metal Performance, further helping to cement their final bow as one to remember.
