Black Sabbath: Ranking Every Ozzy Osbourne Album From Worst To Best

6. Sabotage

Either the last of the group's halcyon recordings or the first of their subsequent rot, depending on who you ask, the band's sixth album came in the midst of a messy legal battle with former manager Patrick Meehan and resulted in some dissatisfaction from just about all four members..

But it also boasts some of their best - and last - Osbourne-era riff monsters, including the effectively bruising Symptom of the Universe and the hard-edged Megalomania, while their further experiments such as Supertzar featured an appearance from the English Chamber Choir.

In one for the history books, the band reportedly jammed with Led Zeppelin during these sessions - though both Iommi and Ward have admitted that the collaboration may have taken place at some other point around the period. No recordings have ever surfaced regardless.

On the touring front, the band were supported by a then-youthful Kiss, who would achieve breakthrough success with their effort Alive! only a few months after they wrapped with Sabbath, while other acts on the jaunt included Slade, plus a Madison Square Garden gig with Aerosmith.
