5. Carcass
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9v5qFRA6Gw Who would have thought that 2013 would play host to the return of one of the most influential extreme metal bands of all time? Now whilst Carcass technically reunited many years earlier, 2013 saw the long awaited arrival of 'Surgical Steel' followed by a hugely successful UK tour with Amon Amarth (also playing Bloodstock Open Air 2014). Now in 2014, Carcass are set to play the main stage at Bloodstock, the UK's biggest metal festival. With a sub-headliner slot that will allow plenty of performing time it is now a question of which era of Carcass' influential back catalogue will be heard by the masses at Catton Hall. The band have such given this task to the masses by allowing fans to vote for five songs to be included into the band's set. A cheap gimmick perhaps but it could potentially allow for a incredibly diverse performance, either way carnage will be experienced at full force.
