Oh, how about having one of black metal's most influential bands headline your festival on Saturday night? The announcement back at Bloodstock 2013 that Emperor would play 2014's edition of the festival was met by thunderous cheers and applause, they are of course considered to be one of black metal's most influential bands. And with the reunion only set for certain festival dates and no promise of a new record/future touring this is certainly shaping up to be a "I was there" moment. Considering that the only other Emperor appearances this summer are at other European festivals, Bloodstock presents the best chance for UK fans to watch what certainly will be a phenomenal performance from the Norwegians. Emperor will surely bring darkness to the UK summer sun as they headline on Saturday evening.
