Bloodstock Festival 2017: 10 Bands You Must See

7. Havok

The second thrash metal act of this list thus far, Havok dominates Eradikator in my pre-Bloodstock rankings, purely because not only does this American four-piece have a much more fleshed-out, socially satirical agenda, but they also possess a standout punk-inclined and slap-bass-orientated style, adding an alternative flair to these Denver prodigies.

However, very much like Eradikator, Havok will still totally annihilate the Bloodstock Festival grounds as they seize the Dio Stage on the Saturday. Hot off the acclaimed Conformicide (2017) record, the band are armed with a plethora of brand new, adored and rowdy tunes to decimate Derbyshire with.

And with the main Bloodstock stage due to host a gigantic selection of speed metal royalty this year (which includes such legends as Kreator, Testament, Municipal Waste, Hatebreed, Possessed and Megadeth), it's safe to say that Havok will not only fit right into this wide array of aggression, but may even out-do many of their elders.
