Bloodstock Festival 2017: 10 Bands You Must See

2. Hatebreed

This entry in the list requires no description. Just the word "Hatebreed" is all that is really needed.

Because once that name is uttered, every metalhead familiar with it knows exactly what is about to follow: unparalleled, unyielding hardcore that seamlessly blends thrash metal riffing with punk rock attitudes.

With such anthems in their gigantic oeuvre as "Looking Down the Barrel of Today", "I Will Be Heard", "Destroy Everything" and "In Ashes They Shall Reap" all ready to be laid out on-stage at the drop of a hat, not only will Hatebreed's show be among one of the most rebellious performers to grace Catton Hall Park this year, but also one of the most enormously pit-inducing.

Combine the band's short, violent, grove-laden tunes with lead singer Jamey Jasta, who is quite possibly one of the most interactive and passionate frontmen in the modern metal scene, and you have a recipe for pure, riotous joy on Saturday's Ronnie James Dio Stage.
