Another of Flowers' greatest influences has always been U2, and more specifically Bono's unashamed desire to make his band the biggest the world has ever seen. The way The Killers mimicked that desire in their early days may have gotten them into a feud or two, but seeing where they are now it's pretty safe to say it was worth it.

It would have been a great honour then, for Flowers and The Killers to be asked to feature on a covers album commemorating the release of U2's iconic Achtung Baby. The band were able to lend all of their festival headlining, crowd-pleasing experience to capture the huge sound of Ultraviolet, and even give it a little edge of their own.

The song may ring very true to the original, but Flowers' vocals draw in the type of downtrodden character that featured so heavily in sophomore storyteller Sam's Town, making it an incredible take on the source material regardless.
