Download Festival 2013: 13 Things You Should Be Listening To Right Now!

3. Palm Reader

hardcore/punk/rockdownload festival As has been mentioned before on this site, Palm Reader are a five piece hardcore band from Woking in the UK. They only formed in 2011, so are still very much up and coming but have had some considerable critical acclaim for their output in that short time; last year€™s album Bad Weather generally received 4 out of 5 or 8 out of 10 from most well known rock magazines. They€™re still quite low down on the bill at the moment, but they€™re still an incredibly young band at only two years. It€™s advisable to go along and see them early in the afternoon, so you can see why they€™ve received such acclaim and why they€™re likely to be playing higher up next time around and much bigger gigs when on tour in the future. Able to display slower, and moody, introspection alongside razor sharp cuts of violent musical aggression €“ sure to take on the mantle for British hardcore from bands like the now defunct Kerouac, and give Bastions a run for their money. http://youtu.be/qsPIRtYCX38
