Download Festival 2013: 13 Things You Should Be Listening To Right Now!

11. Blood Command

rock/hardcore/popdownload festival This little known three piece, though live five piece, shall be visiting from Norway when they arrive on these shores for Download, and I know what you€™re thinking; €˜Norwegian, must be black metal.€™ Well, if you can set your national stereotyping aside for a second, I can in fact tell you that Blood Command are in fact sporting a rather fetching wardrobe of punk, hardcore, rock, scream, metal and pop that is equally as ferocious as it is melodic. Some might call it deathpop, and that sounds pretty cool to me. The band were formed in 2008 but are still charging their riffs and rhythm section with a youthful and enthusiastic vigour, not to mention front-woman, Silje Tombre€™s strong vocals that range between hoarse punk shouts, screams and clean cut pop singing. Proving to be an electric live entity. http://youtu.be/rM66iOc8uYs
