1. Linkin Park
https://twitter.com/_metalshop/status/478147376247750656 And speaking of Hybrid Theory The decision to have Linkin Park play the 2000 album in full without a big numbered anniversary to back it up, and with the impending release of new album The Hunting Party could well have looked like a cynical commercial ploy to raise interest after a comparatively muted response to the last two albums, but when the opportunity is this good why question the motives? And the band didnt disappoint: they might have missed out some fan favourites like Faint, and Michael Bay might have slightly ruined the impact of What Ive Done thanks to association with the Transformers movies, but Linkin Park remain a brilliantly entertaining band live. And adding their skill now to the hit-heavy Hybrid Theory - played in full for the first time live - was a match made in heaven. It was a travesty that Copping decided to clash Linkin Park with Status Quo, dragging fans away from the British legends energetic, typically impressive set after a mere few songs (hence their absence from this list), but the Californians proved their billing correct with a brilliantly entertaining set that must surely have enraptured even the most cynical of bystanders.
