Enter Shikari Albums Ranked From Worst To Best

2. The Spark

This is a new-er style of Shikari if you were to compare it to Take to the Skies. That doesn't automatically make it better but this is a very cohesive work of art. As track titles such as The Spark and The Embers imply, this album works as a metaphor of a fire, with it having peaks and troughs throughout.

As the documentary makes clear some of this album was written whilst Rou was going through a breakup and An Ode to Lost Jigsaw Pieces is a perfect example of that. Were it not for the last 30 seconds of the song, this would be a defeated end to the album.

Instead, the switch flips and there's a chance to have the final rage against the dying light before The Embers kicks in and completes the metaphor.

A masterfully crafted piece of work and worthy of number one, were it not for their latest album.
